Description: A major addition to its surrounding Long Island City neighborhood, the award-winning UPK Q972 is one of the larger facilities constructed as part of Mayor DeBlasio’s Universal Pre-K for All initiative. The project comprised the gut renovation of the entire second floor of an existing commercial building to provide ten classrooms plus a new ground level lobby, elevator, administrative suite, and two indoor exercise classrooms.
