Description: To mitigate the need for both affordable and market-rate housing for seniors in Wayne Township, RKTB combined the adaptive reuse of a former junior high school and the construction of a new, U-shaped, four-story addition to create this 250-unit rental-apartment development for senior citizens. The design is an example of new construction mixed with adaptive reuse which combines the best qualities of each.
