School for
the Physical City This is one of several small focus schools inaugurated by the NYC Board of Education in the early 1990s. Designed on five floors of an office tower, using color-coded elements, maps, wall markings, and a compass, it became a popular alternative middle and high school whose architectural elements demonstrate urban principles. |
